The only candidate that can win the general election this November. Vote Kasich!
Kasich is for US.
December 13, 2015 at 3:54 pm
You are so wrong about the people who stand for Trump only being a small group. You basically said they are nobody’s . Well I voted for you here in Ohio and you are wrong. I will vote for Trump the American people are tired. Tired of the media tired of the politic and want change.
April 25, 2016 at 9:08 am
You just lost all your morals!
I hope I get to look in your eyes and tell you, Shame on you!
Because I live in Oregon, so bring it on Kasich.
April 26, 2016 at 5:12 am
You are absolutely right. Sneaky Kasich & Lying Ted Cruz are scumbags and really have no morals or self esteem and are completely untrustworthy. They know that neither of them have a chance in hell of getting the nomination so they joined forces because they think that one of them will get the nomination and the other will be his Vice-President. Both of these “politics” as usual idiots should drop out of the race. WAKE UP AMERICA. No more politics as usual candidates who the special interests groups have in their pocket. GET RID OF ALL THE CROOKS IN WASHINGTON.
February 10, 2016 at 9:40 pm
Hang in there Governor Kasich. We are retired in Texas now and we are pulling for you. I am searching for a site to contribute and am sure will find it. I am an independent, but my husband is a true Republican from Lancaster, Ohio. Let’s switch that from Governor Kasich to President Kasich. You made our night by your positive message.
February 17, 2016 at 10:58 pm
I am writing this letter in response to the recent debate between Presidential Candidates Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton. I do not vote along any party lines, but for whom I feel is the best candidate to serve us. In saying that, I have been very attentive to the recent presidential debates, both Democratic and Republican.
I realize that there is political posturing from both parties and all candidates. As a voter you do your best to see through the smoke screens, however I have never been as personally offended as I was when I heard Sanders state, that he is tired of watching unarmed black men being shot by white police officers, in which Clinton agreed and cited a recent police involved shooting in Milwaukee. They then stated they would change this. I am a police officer and chose this profession at a young age because I wanted to serve my country and fellow man. Policing is one of the noblest professions that exist.
Many of us never realize the sacrifices our parents made for us in our upbringing and we take that for granted. We are grateful for what they have done, but it is impossible for us to step into their shoes and live the moments they lived in raising us. This is very similar to the role police officers play in society.
Police officers realize that many of the citizens we serve do not like us and accept that, still hoping to make a positive difference in our communities any way we possibly can. While these presidential candidates were villianizing our profession, they failed to research and learn that from February 5, 2016, the day they probably started practicing for the debate until the day of the debate February 11, 2016 seven officers were killed in the line of duty while serving in our United States.
They also failed to realize that when people find a difficult situation they are in, they call for police assistance. As the police arrive, many times to almost impossible situations, they often resolve the situation with no use of force. The average police officer today is educated and professional. This is instilled in them through their basic academy training and reinforced by the profession itself.
The father of modern policing August Vollmer, said that those to be selected as law enforcement officers should “have the wisdom of Soloman, the courage of David, the patience of Job and leadership of Moses, the kindness of the Good Samaritan, the diplomacy of Lincoln, the tolerance of the Carpenter of Nazereth, and finally, an intimate knowledge of every branch of the natural, biological and social sciences.” Police have one of the most difficult jobs in America and as such the police officer has become one of the most important individuals in America today.
Mr. Sanders and Ms. Clinton, before speaking ill of the police officers serving in our Great Country, please do your research on both sides of the fence and let us not divide our country, but bring it together for the betterment of all our citizens and realize that many serving in America’s Police Agencies are registered voters who deeply love and care for our country. I am personally proud to serve along my brother and sister police officers in the service of our country and while we do not need the recognition, we have earned the respect of presidential candidates.
February 23, 2016 at 2:17 am
I truly was one of your earliest supporters.. BUT NOW,, you are ONLY HELPING TRUMP WIN> GET OUT NOW! Please.. for the LOVE of all that is right.
February 24, 2016 at 1:56 pm
Time to get out of the race , Your staying will give Trump the nomination and Hillary the Presidency I’am a died in the wool Republican but a realist too.
February 26, 2016 at 4:17 am
Governor Kasich. I know you won’t be reading this, but my wife and myself have been Trump fans but after last nights CNN debate we are very impressed with your knowledge and professionalism. Good Luck!
February 27, 2016 at 10:09 pm
Mr. Kasich, be thankful Chris Christie is on Trumps side. That will give you a better chance! Just think, he has Palin and Christie. Doesn’t get any worse than that!
February 28, 2016 at 10:21 pm
Finally! You are now the only governor candidate left standing! Now is not the time
To drop out! Now your past heroics will be heard and not selected out of the mind.
March 4, 2016 at 7:10 pm
No, not Arnold!
March 5, 2016 at 6:46 pm
I would have supported Kasich, but Mr. Kasich denied us in Ohio a fast train – refusing federal funds to build the trian system, Sorry Mr. Kasich, but can’t forgive you!
March 6, 2016 at 12:44 am
Get out and assign your delegates to Trump.
March 6, 2016 at 3:04 am
By taying in the race you are causing Trump to win. your votes would never go to Trump they would most likely go to Ted Cruz. If you were out Cruz would have won Kentucky handily. Even if you win Ohio and probably not by and noticeable margin. Please get out now.
March 7, 2016 at 5:44 pm
I’m sending this comment to you since you seem to be the voice of reason….
I had an idea regarding Welfare and wanted to know your feelings about it.
Instead of sitting at home and collecting a check each month for being nonproductive would it be feasible to mandate that Welfare recipients accept a minimum wage job and then supplement their income with welfare to make sure they can take care of their families. Also if you don’t show up for work that day you lose your subsidy for that day. Now it is their choice….work and get paid or stay home and no pay. I am a firm believer in giving people a hand up….Not a hand out. Plus being productive gives people a sense of accomplishment.
March 9, 2016 at 7:05 pm
I am 100% behind you I will never vote for Trump or Cruz and certainly not Clinton. I will vote for Mickey Mouse before I vote for them. Please STAY IN. Go to the convention and hang in there. Dot
March 11, 2016 at 1:03 am
The last thing I want to hear as a US citizen is a foreign world leader crying out in a few years, “Mr. Trump, tear down this wall!”
March 12, 2016 at 4:19 pm
Jobs in ohio are not that good i have proof lots of people can not find work if they do pay is so low show proof how it is supposed to be so good
March 16, 2016 at 8:07 pm
Governor Kasich – I would love to see you win the Presidential nomination, however sadly it is not going to happen. By staying in you are telling the American citizens that you want Trump as our Presidential nominee. With Rubio out, you will gain most of his votes however it will not be enough for a win. Don’t make us have a choice between Hillary and Trump. The results will be unfavorable to us either way. This is not your fault nor Rubios. This is the news stations fault. They have played unfairly and now we will pay for it. If we could hear 25% of what you, Rubio and Cruz had to stay the results would be very different. The news stations are for Trump and only show him and his obnoxious antics resulting in votes. They want Hillary and know that a Trump and Hillary nomination will result in Hillary for President. CNN won, we lost. We lost a great candidate last night. No offense, but it’s not going to happen. Let go and let it be a 2 man race for the Republican nomination.
March 17, 2016 at 6:18 pm
GET OUT OF THE RACE; YOU NEED TO SWALLOW YOUR PRIDE AND GET OUT!!
YOU ARE A GOOD MAN, BUT YOU CANNOT WIN. STAYING IN THE RACE ONLY LET’S TRUMP WIN.
I LAY THE BLAME ON YOU AND OTHERS WHO HAVE HELD ON WHEN THEY KNEW IT WAS OVER FOR ALLOWING TRUMP TO BE ELECTED.
SHAME ON YOU!!!!!
March 19, 2016 at 1:29 am
I am liberal, independent, self employed professional and usually vote democratic. However, the thought of having Trump OR Cruz as president is too frightening to consider. John Kasich (and Bernie Sanders) are the only honest, educated and intelligent candidates so far. It would be a disaster for the Country for John Kasich to drop out.
March 21, 2016 at 12:32 am
You talk like you have more exp. Than God it makes me think your ego is larger than TRUMPs . You know you cant win so no matter what you say your a spoiler willing to ruin the people’s choice. Why why why.
March 23, 2016 at 3:20 am
What you said today about POTUS was Terrible. I will not vote for you in Pa.
March 24, 2016 at 5:16 am
John Kasich: Why are you still in? What are you trying to accomplish? Spoiler? Please get out of the race.
March 26, 2016 at 7:05 am
If you want my vote in Nov. let’s see Constitutional Carry for Ohio. You want something you must give something. I’m not the only Vet that thinks this way.
March 26, 2016 at 7:06 am
No Constitutional Carry, no vote.
March 27, 2016 at 1:14 pm
I thought my opinion would be the only one out there is regards to your candidacy but upon reading some of the other posts I decided to speak. It’s not only Ted Cruz asking you to drop out it’s the American people Mr. Kaisich! I believe your total delegate vote count reflects this fact. Your decision to stay in this race appears to be a total ego trip for yourself and has absolutely nothing to do with the love of this country.
March 29, 2016 at 6:15 pm
Tell him not to look down to the left when speaking. This displays doubt by body language. Stop twiddling thumbs while preparing his response. He can win this if he remains eye contact constant w the media questioner. Thinkers lose eye contact when contemplating answers but others can construe it as doubt in the answer
March 29, 2016 at 6:47 pm
Congrats for taking control of the Town meeting. Standing up and addressing the crowd visually versus letting the media commentator have the control! Kudos good move!
March 30, 2016 at 7:09 pm
For those Nay Sayers who call for John to withdraw to benefit Ted Cruz, take a careful look again at what has happened in this GOP Primary and see why John Kaisich has to stay in to the end. The Trumpet was used to gather up excitement and a following assuming he’d fade away and they’d stay; WRONG! The Trumpet had a strategy to broker the election, not necessarily to win and his kind of followers always follow their leader with their message; they lock to the personality. The Trumpet was used to mute the Apocalytic message of Cruz and assumed when he’s gone the Trumpet could be muted in favor of Rubio; WRONG! Rubio was a star born too soon for its orbit; could not maintain enough inertia to keep orbits around all planets; no mass. Now the rush to the Apocalyptic messenger, Cruz, to stop the Trumpet. WRONG again! Going to Cruz to stop the Trumpet it’s tantamount to jumping from ocean to sea. It’s absurd if anyone thinks Cruz could win a General election. The GOP needs to wake up and realize that it has to build a different base in this 21st Century if it is ever to win the Presidency. Being strangled from two extremes, religious and demagoguery, will not produce a winning majority. With the change in American demographics, it’s the working class, the millennials and minorities who now pose the larger majority at the polls. The evangelical and the “conservative” factions are just another part of the apple to make it whole. The Party must find a centrist candidate who can appeal to a wining coalition and be competitive with the Democrats. John Kasich is the only soldier standing to fit the bill and he must stay in to bring to attention and focus to the overriding issue at hand. Better sooner than later the Party comes to grip with what it needs to win a General Election or it will lose control in the Senate, the White House and a slim majority holding in the House in these 2016 elections. JOHN! STAY in to the DYING END!!!!
April 1, 2016 at 5:52 pm
Get out, especially after your disrespectful comments about a police officer respectfully doing his job.
Shame on you!
April 4, 2016 at 7:47 am
kasich please quit for the good of out country , soros money is BAD $$$$….
April 5, 2016 at 6:33 am
I liked you and Dr Ben early, now it is time to drop out. George Soros says he spent $700,000 for you to take votes from Trump, so you are helping Hitler Hilary and Soros socialist game between Hilary and Berni
April 5, 2016 at 11:11 am
HERE IS A SPECIAL LETTER TO GOV. KASICH. CRUZ WANTS KASICH TO QUIT. WHO IS HE TO TELL YOU THAT? IF ANYTHING KASICH SHOULD TELL CRUZ TO LEAVE BECAUSE HE IS INELIGIBLE TO BE US PRESIDENT BY VIRTUE OF NON BIRTH IN US. YES, IF THE PROVINCE IN CANADA WHERE HE WAS BORN BECOMES A STATE OF USA BEFORE NOV 7, 2016 HE WILL ONLY THEN BE ELIGIBLE. RIGHT NOW THIS CHARACTER’S CLAIM THAT HE WILL WIN IF KASICH DROPS OUT, IS LIKE A OLYMPIC RUNNER ACCUSING OTHER RUNNERS OF THWARTING HIS EFFORT TO WIN. IF THEY HAD DROPPED OUT HE WOULD HAVE WIN. kASICH, NO QUIT..
April 5, 2016 at 7:17 pm
The real issue with Cruz is not that he was born in Canada, but that he knew he had dual citizen privilege while he sat in the United states Senate. He chose not to renounce his Canadian citizenship until he decided to run for President of the United States; he did not know he was a dual citizen? Such a sharp lawyer?. He had dual loyalty to a foreign State while he sat in the Senate and as Solicitor General for the State of Texas. To make it even worse, he was supported by the oil lobby in Texas who had a big stake in the Keystone Pipeline from Canada. Give me a break? This Crusher talking about Hillary Clinton? It’s like the coal pot calling the kettle “black”. John Kasich is the only candidate who is honest enough not to pretend to appeal to the extremes of the Party and excite fears just to win their votes; but he is the only Soldier standing who can win the General election for the GOP. Even if John does not get the votes going into the Convention, his presence will force the Republican Party to reorganize, get the right base and the right messenger so that it can win a Presidential election. In the end, John would have won the BIG fight! Keep in to the dying end, Mighty John!!!
April 7, 2016 at 1:15 am
Governor Kasich, the voters of New York are waiting for you. They need a better choice. If not, they will stay home and the Trumpet will once again have his bugle offending our ears. You have the best chance to come in ahead of Cruz and avoid the Trumpet from getting his 50%. Then, you will be a real player at a contested Convention when those Delegates from the Winner-take-all-States are unbound. There will be no place for them to rush to but yourself as a true Unifier. Time is of essence. New York could be a turning point for all the contenders. Good luck!
April 13, 2016 at 11:29 am
Hey New York – You have great theaters and performers – let’s keep Trump on Broadway and off of Pennsylvania Ave. Cruz should just drop out of the race.
April 22, 2016 at 6:49 am
A lot of people in this country haven’t got a clue about what is going on. Look at what Obama has done, and continues to do to this country. It seems as though he wants to destroy it apart. Don’t forget, he is not a Christian, but he is a Muslim. Why do you think he keeps kissing their asses?
A vote for Clinton just continues the mess we are in. Look at all her lies She is completely false and is only after big bucks. She lied about Benghazi, lied about releasing classified information, lied about where she is getting the majority of her campaign funds and do not forget the money laundering by the Clinton Foundation. Look at the rise of ISIS. Go back to her husband’s term. Look at the mysterious death of people employed by them. She has never done anything for the welfare of this country as a Senator nor as Secretary of State. Probably the worse Secretary of State this country has ever had. Check out her record, it is all there. She does not care about “We the People” and as President will probably bankrupt this country. When asked what her greatest accomplishment has been in her political career, she hasn’t a clue and that is because she has done nothing.
I will not even bother with Bernie Sanders, the Socialist who wants to give America away and hike up our taxes to pay for his crackpot agenda.
Katich is nothing but a loser. Sure he has some experiences, but is part of the establishment and as President, would continue to be a loser. He thinks that the establishment would pick him over Ryan, Romney or other losers waiting in the wings. He has won one State and continues to lose in all the others. That is not a winner.
Lying Ted Cruz has been bought and paid for by the likes Goldman Sachs, for whom his wife Heidi is a vice-president, Why then did lying Ted not disclose this information? What other “Special Interest” groups are backing him. This man will not stop the crooked politicians that continue to bleed this country.
This political race is to weed out the crooked politicians running this country and the “Special Interest” groups paying them off so that they can rip “We the People” off. There is a loud voice coming from “We the People” for this change to take effect. We are tired of being ripped off by the establishment who are telling us that this is a “Democracy”. If this were true why then do these politicians give themselves pay raises without putting it to a vote by “We the People”. Why are We the People” paying for all the perks that this politician give themselves. These crooked politicians, including the President walk away with their full salaries for the rest of their lives. Why aren’t they covered by Social Security, as “We the People” are. Were “We the People” at some point, given the Democratic right to vote for all the shenanigans that these crooked politicians are responsible for? All of the Democrats or Republicans we elect are not wealthy when they take their oath to serve “We the People”. Then how is it that they all super wealthy when they leave their positions. Have you heard of a “poor” politician. All the government contracts are give the their family member or their “special interest” people who make millions on millions. Not one politician running for the highest position in the world has brought attention to all of the perks of these crooked politicians. Why do you think that is? How many corporations in the private industry do you think exist that gives their employees all of these perks ? Not only when they are employees, but even after retiring or serving out their terms if they are not re-elected?
Wake up America “We the People” are being fleeced by all of the crooked politicians that are supposed to be looking out for us. It is time to get a non-politician in the White House and it is time for “We the People” to take our country back, get rid of illegal immigration and stop terrorist from coming into our country to destroy it. WAKE UP AMERICA – this is what this election is all about.
Katich get out of the race – you will keep on losing and they (your buddies) will never let you be President.
April 22, 2016 at 8:54 pm
Governor, please stay in the race all the way to the convention. I do think your campaign staff missed an opportunity in New York; when people keep saying you cannot win, it would have been good to remind people of the Buffalo vs Houston playoff game in 1993, New York Jets vs Baltimore in Super Bowl 3, and the 1969 Mets being 9 1/2 games out of first with 6 weeks left in the season. All examples where New York teams were told the could not win, and fought their way back to win anyway.
You have a path to the nomination, and the White House. Are you going to need to catch a break here and there? Yes. But sometimes in life you just need to keep up the effort, and be prepared if some breaks come your way. Trump and Cruz need to have 1237 before they get to the Convention. If Trump does not win on the first ballot, he is toast. If Cruz does not win by the second or third ballot, he is toast.
George Karl had a smirk on his face during the ABC Sunday Morning show, smirking at the fact that you were still in. A WSJ reporter challenged him very directly when he said Kasich cannot win.
It is not egotistical to stay in when, of all the candidates left in the race, you would make the best president.
And the next time Chris Mathews keeps interrupting you, please remind him that he is not Perry Mason, and you are not the murderer.
Fortunately the media does not pick the next president. The voters do.
April 24, 2016 at 7:58 am
From the perspective of a Kasich supporter: Cruz has the party dogma down pat so they think they can control him. That is why establishment is backing him now. But he’ll never win in the general against Clinton. And Trump has exhibited an appalling lack of knowledge about the fiduciary duty required to be President. We need John Kasich to be the nominee. He has the resume of success and experience. And he polls consistently to beat Clinton in November. #Kasich4US!
April 24, 2016 at 8:07 pm
Shame on you for acting so cowardly.
April 24, 2016 at 9:58 pm
Shame on you
May 4, 2016 at 3:47 pm
Your speech withdrawing from the GOP nomination process was dignified, humble, and inspiring. Unfortunately, your voice was one of the last representing the better angels of our political nature and was a bright light in the darkness of the GOP discourse. I’m not a Republican, but I admire you. You added balance to our 2-party system. I will vote for Hillary, but I wish you were her opponent; then we would have a real debate on the issues. Thank you, John Kasich.
June 30, 2016 at 8:36 pm
It is with a great deal of sadness that I post this message. I know you will never see this, but I absolutely had to express my shear disgust with you and the way in which you did not stick to your word by supporting the Republican nominee. This wouldn’t hurt so much if I hadn’t held out hope for 20 years that you would mount a Presidential bid. I was so elated when you announced!! So here we are today with so many in the Republican ranks backing Hillary Clinton. Anyone who votes for her is no better than she is. I’m old enough to have been around for all of the Clinton capers. All of you politicos are made from the same cloth whether Dems or Repubs. Instead of being so very judgmental (not too Christian) and acting like a petulant child a better tack might have been to throw your hat in the ring for VP and accomplish some things you wanted to see get done. Well one lives and learns. I am also very upset with myself and how I so misjudged you and your character. I wish you and your family well in the coming years.
July 17, 2016 at 6:11 pm
Mr. Kasich, I expect you to honor the pledge you signed at the first debate. I believe you should put your backing behind Trump because if Hillary gets into that office I won’t support you or the Republic party in the future. There will be no reason to ever vote again. I think 90% of politicians are in it only for them selves and what they can get from the people they claim to serve. prove me wrong.
July 20, 2016 at 6:32 am
Do you believe Donald Trump is in it for you or himself. Take a look at his history and prove me wrong. My fellow American, come out of the hypnosis.
July 18, 2016 at 10:21 am
EVEN THO I LIVE IN ARIZONA, I HAVE ALWAYS ADMIRED JOHN KASICH. WHATEVER IS HAPPENING NOW
WITH REPUBLICANS NOT ATTENDING THE CONVENTION REMINDS ME OF HIGH SCHOOL.
ALL YOU GUYS, BECOME MEN………
July 18, 2016 at 3:21 pm
I echo Miss Kikki. I voted for you in the primary. But you should back the next person who will choose the next 3 SOTUS judges. Nothing else really matters in the big picture. All else is noise and irrelevant. Very disappointed. Show up at the convention while you still have some courage and dignity
July 20, 2016 at 6:46 am
All who believe the Supreme Court if a rubber stamp of ideology need to step back a bit and understand the American Constitution once again and what courts and judges are supposed to do. The demagoguery, narcissism, and cronyism being echoed in the Trump campaign is why we should be so glad to reject his message and not be his disciples and pigeons of his cage turning into exactly what the Forefathers of the American Constitution stood up against. I will be more frightened by the appointment of a judge by Donald Trump who’d rule his ideological line than one appointed by Hillary Clinton, who is well qualified and makes decisions on the merits of a case and not political ideology.
November 10, 2016 at 11:52 am
John, you were the only real candidate this time for President. You have values, morals, intellect, knowledge of how government works. I am an independent but admit I chose Hillary over that dyed wig disgusting individual that was elected by electoral votes (not majority of voters). You are a class act and I hope you run again. I’ll definitely support and vote for you.
